How to Upload Pictures to the gallery

How to Upload Pictures

1. Click on Photo Gallery tab
2. You will then have to click Register if you don’t already have an account and then read the terms & conditions the click I AGREE
3. Complete all user details in the registration section and a Confirmation Email will be sent to your nominated email address.
4. You will then have to activate your account by clicking on the link provided to you in the email.
5. This will then take you to the ARK Gallery and you will need to login to you account.
6. Once you have logged in, you will notice a tab with a small green triangle that says UPLOAD FILE
7. When you click on this tab it will take you to the upload section where it will give you 5 slots to upload up to 5 pictures at a time.
8. If you click on Browse you must then go to the folder on you pc where you have your pictures stored and click on the pictures you would like to upload.
9. Once you have added the pictures you wanted to, you need to click on the CONTINUE button which will then add them to you folder.
10. It will then say that UPLOAD SUCCESSFUL and you need to click continue.
11. You will then have the option to decide which gallery your pic goes into .eg Taipan would go into elapids then press.
12. Congratulations, you have uploaded your 1st picture.

The size of files uploaded from your client to the server should not exceed 1024 KB each.
Go to the following link
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx and look for the program called Image Resizer, which will be on the right hand side as you scroll down. Install this program, which will then make it very simple for you to resize your pics. Just right click on the pic you would like to make smaller and a tab will appear saying RESIZE. Click that and resize the pic to medium, which will then allow you to upload the pic to your gallery.

I have followed all instructions to the letter and still cant upload my photos. It comes up with something about pixels????? The size is less than the maximum...... Help

I have clicked on the Photo Gallery tab, and then tried to login, but no go. How come I have to login again when I am already logged on to the site?? Cheers Cheryl

l want to down load a few photo's,in the photo gallery, when l log on, l see this message, saying could not log on, but l can log onto the website using my pasword and user name when l don't want to use the photo gallery.

is there something wrong here or not, why can't l log on, if l want to down load a photo or 2.

I've had a look into the problems people are having with the gallery and havn't found anything major. Our galery setup is fairly complex so it may take a little whle to go through everything.

One thing I have noticed though, some people are trying to upload pictures without creating a gallery account first. Our Gallery is independant to ARK, is on a seperate web server and requires that a seperate login account be created.

I just tried to upload a photo again and got the same answer - "previous file could not be placed" followed by "all files successfully placed". So its definately not working for me.

It appears that the gallery has an upload problem, I'll fix it when time allows (this one's going to take time). I recommend using www.photobucket.com to host your images until the problem is rectified.

I've cleaned out the gallery today and fixed a couple of problems. It should be working properly now.

I have a more user friendly gallery up and running, it's not finished and needs a bunch of categories created yet, the mamber album section is ready to go. If you would like to use it you must register as a gallery user first, please use your ark username.

I thought I might add that the pics of the Jungles I posted were though the gallery without any probs
