I would like to know aswell, a step by step instruction would be good.
And has anyone tried to or heard of anyone making fake backgrounds out of latex. |

What did you want to make them out of?
Alot of aquarium sites have articles on how to construct foam and latex backgrounds.
Just don't expect the latex to be cheap if you go down that path

I know of one site that has quite a few guides on making foam backgrounds.
Only thing is you need to become a member to see it and registration can take upto 2 days due to activation etc.
There was also a person selling 2 peices for about $20 each i think but that was about 2 weeks ago.
Anyways the site address is www.aceforums.com.au its probably Australia's largest aquarium forum

| I just checked out the aceforums site & became a member in the time it took to push the enter button, it takes longer to post but if you just want to look & read you can do that straight after you register. |

can you just use woodglue and sand to cover it to get the rock look, I tried it on a little bit of polystyrene, I just put some glue in a container added some sand mixed it and spread it on, after it dried it was quite hard and I rubbed my hand on it and no sand came off, it didn't look bad either.
What yous think. |
